March 19 Lecture

Heather Wolf

The Friends of SaddleBrooke Libraries are excited to announce our next informative lecture. In celebration of Arizona Archaeology and Heritage Awareness Month, we welcome back Dr. Eric Kaldahl from the Amerind Museum. Dr. Kaldahl will speak on “Southeast Arizona’s Deep History.” Join us on March 19 in the DesertView Theater at 4 p.m.

We will learn of important Native American and Spanish sites from ancient Clovis times (11,000 B.C.) through the Spanish Colonial Period (1800s). This history is revealed through archeology and is some of the most important in the country, with the Amerind Museum playing an important role in this research.

Dr. Kaldahl is a registered professional archeologist who has participated in archeology projects in Arizona, Nebraska, Missouri, and Illinois. He is currently president and CEO of the Amerind Foundation.

As always, this lecture is free for Friends of SaddleBrooke Libraries members and just $5 for non-members. If you are not a member or your membership has lapsed, you can learn more about our mission and join/renew at www.SBFSL.org or in person in the lobby prior to the lecture.
