We are off to a quick start in the new year with our first event, the popular 3 Jills and a Jack Tournament on Jan. 27. Previously a biennial tournament, last year’s event proved so popular, we have now given it an annual spot on our calendar. It is sponsored by A1 Golf Carts, one of our 25 local businesses that help to make our game days so rewarding. Hot on the heels of 3 Jills is our next major event, the Presidents Cup, which plays out over six days during the first two weeks of February. This is a match play, single elimination tournament.
In other news, sadly, our president Wendy O’Dell will be moving out of the community, so she will not be able to continue in her role. As vice president in 2025, Wendy contributed to the smooth running of the SBWGA organization. Cathe Kropp, a former president, will be taking over for Wendy. Thanks to both for the time you give to make SBWGA-18 so efficient. We do rely on all of our volunteers.
