The Latin Rhythm Dance Club is SaddleBrooke’s premier nonprofit dance organization. In its regular dance sessions, club members learn and practice Salsa, Samba, Rumba, Mambo, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Cha Cha Cha, Bolero and many other dances. In addition, the Latin Rhythm Dance Club offerings include monthly dance parties, specialized small group workshops on Latin and club dances, instructional DVDs and private dance instruction.
Weekly Latin Dance Classes
Free Monday Dance Classes meet from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the Vermilion Room at SaddleBrooke 1 throughout the year. Our well attended sessions include all popular Latin and some traditional dance styles and are free to SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch residents. As you know, dancing is an entertaining way to keep your body and mind fit. Couples and singles enjoy our professional level dance classes. Instructors are Jeanny and Wally Mara.

Our Intermediate Dance Workshops are for those with previous dance experience. They meet Thursday mornings from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Vermilion Room. Enrollment is limited to 12, so please make reservations before the class meets!
October 9, 16, 23, 30: International Rumba; intermediate and advanced patterns
November 6, 13, 20: Cha Cha; intermediate and advanced patterns
Your $5 per class materials fee includes a step sheet and a dance practice CD.
Note: Latin dancing is fast, vigorous and aerobic, so be sure your doctor approves!
Instructional Dance DVDs
Learn to dance in the privacy of your own home! Many of our classes have been fully videoed and processed into instructional DVDs by our talented videographer member Carol Newhouse. These videos are available for a $10 donation to the SaddleBrooke Troup Support Group. Contact us for our current catalog of titles.
Monthly Members’ Dance Parties
We DJ monthly evening dance parties in the Vermilion Room at SaddleBrooke 1 starting at 6:30 p.m. generally on the third Tuesday of each month. These dances are free for members and $10 for nonmembers (SaddleBrookers: This pays your club dues for 2013 and 2014, making you a member). If you’ve wondered what Latin dancing is all about, our dance parties are the ideal way to find out. They’re friendly social functions with the best dance music in SaddleBrooke!
