The Latin Dance secret? It’s no longer a secret. On March 4, 2016 the American Heart Association reported:
“After four months of lively Latin dance classes, older adults were more physically fit and walked faster than those in a health education program, according to a University of Illinois at Chicago study. By study’s end, the dancers had shaved 38 seconds off their time in a 400-meter walk test.”
The Latin Rhythm Dance Club is SaddleBrooke’s premier dance organization. In our classes, we provide professional-level healthful Latin dance instruction throughout the year.

Hot August Nights and Trivia, too!
For the fourth summer, Latin Rhythm Dance Club principals Jeanny and Wally Mara, aka The Dancing DJs, have been asked to provide entertainment for SaddleBrooke One’s Hot August Nights party on August 20. This year the musical theme of the early evening will be popular hits from the 1960s and 1970s.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Dinner music will include a chronological program of top hits from the 60s and 70s. At 6:30 p.m. we will start our Music Trivia game featuring favorites from the 60 to 70s eras: we play the tune; you name the artist(s). After the trivia game, we will lead a short lesson of Salsa, invented in the 60s by Cuban immigrants to the U.S. Following the Salsa lesson, we’ll dance the night away with our eclectic dancers’ music mix.
Since this a SaddleBrooke One function you must make your reservations by calling the SaddleBrooke One office at 825-3048 to reserve your place. Ask for Hot August Nights, August 20.
