The Jewish Friendship Group (JFG) has had an active and rewarding season. We were able to meet in person for all activities.
The Book Club will meet again in October. We look forward to reviewing interesting books with our winter residents who bring us lively discussions and new and sometimes controversial opinions.
We are trying to plan some events for those stalwarts who brave the heat of summer. By the time you read this message, Joy Erickson will have welcomed 20 ladies to her home for a Ladies’ Coffee on July 28. These coffees are always a fun way to keep up with those members who come and go during the summer. If you wish to host a coffee, either during the summer or for the upcoming fall, please contact Sandy Rosen.
The JFG held its last official meeting of the winter/spring season with 40 people attending on May 21. We opted for a taco bar set upon the patio at the RoadRunner Grill at SaddleBrooke One. When we arrived, we discovered that due to the high wind, the staff very appropriately moved the venue inside. The wait staff reconfigured the tables so we could converse while dining. We thank Trisha for arranging the date for us. We did socialize before sitting down to our scrumptious dinner. Kudos to the chef and his team. All the newcomers were welcomed to both SaddleBrooke and our group. People mixed and matched, and new friendships were made. That’s what our group is all about!
We hope to keep some of this positive momentum going forward into our monsoon season for those souls who love the heat. As such, it is the intent of the JFG to sponsor a no-host dinner during the summer at the RoadRunner. Please read your emails for details.
