The September High Holiday services were well attended and uplifting to the congregants attending Our year continues with monthly Shabbat services at 7:00 p.m. in the West Ballroom of the MountainView Clubhouse on October 27, November 17 (date change due to Thanksgiving) and December 15 (change also due to holidays). All services are conducted by Rabbi Sanford Seltzer with Cantorial soloist Sarah Bollt accompanied on the keyboard by Carolyn Cochran.
We encourage members to take advantage of the opportunity to socialize at dinner prior to these services. Dinners are at 5:00 p.m. in the East Room – also at MountainView Clubhouse. Reservations must be made by contacting Ellie Edelman at [email protected] or at 818-3069.
Lastly we wish to inform all SaddleBrooke residents of the 2018 classes taught by Rabbi Seltzer and open to the entire community. The dates for this year’s classes are all Thursday evenings – January 25, February 1 and February 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the West Ballroom at MountainView Clubhouse. The topic this year is The Problem of Evil in Jewish Thought and Belief; From Natural Catastrophe, to the Holocaust and 9/11. The suggested donation for each class is $5 per person to help defray the cost of printed material. Please come and invite friends to join you for these stimulating classes.
