ILR Magic Glass graduates more junior magicians

SaddleBrooke’s Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR) offered a magic class entitled Magic for Grandparents, Friends and Parties last February. The course was a success for the second year in a row. Combining the students in 2013 and 2014, SaddleBrooke now has 30 junior magicians wandering around and ready and willing to do a show for your group. Last year’s class was taught by Mark Saks and Ken Marich (aka Magic Ken). We dedicated the 2014 class in memory of Mark who passed away last year. All student magicians learned 12 tricks (including props) at each course. While the tricks seemed relatively easy to do in class with the help of Magic Ken, a week later some tricks seemed impossible. The golden rule for magicians is practice, practice, practice and we all are reminded that there are no bad audiences, just bad magicians. Everyone had fun and we started the second class with a student show followed by individualized practice. The course ended with a mini magic show by Magic Ken.

If you are interested in taking a magic class contact the ILR or Ken directly. Magic Ken is also available for unit and private parties. For more information contact Ken at 520-825-1709 or [email protected].
