The Humanitarian prospective on immigration

The Santa Catalina Catholic Church Social Awareness Ministry invites you to join us to consider the humanitarian perspective of immigration. We are hosting a discussion forum called “Understanding the Plight of the Undocumented Immigrant” on January 17 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the church’s parish hall. Santa Catalina is located at 14380 N. Oracle Rd. The following speakers will be featured:

Ronald Tocchini – a trial lawyer for immigration issues

Fr. Sean Carroll – Executive Director of the Kino Border Initiative

Peg Harmon – CEO of Catholic Community Services

Edna Osuna – A “dreamer” who was featured in the Arizona Daily Star

Rene – an immigrant fleeing persecution in El Salvador

Questions and discussion will follow the presentations.
