Howland’s Highway and We

Paul Rush

In the scenic alpine region of SaddleBrooke’s One is the exciting, endearing path to the heights of our beautiful village! Its route provides a challenging adventure beginning in the lowland country where the inhabitants enjoy observing the ever-present wildlife and practice the particulars of a sport affectionately titled golf.

From the village’s beautiful hospitality-activity center, looking east, the serpentine “highway” can be observed ascending toward the stars!

With the desert flora wonderfully and abundantly displayed, we begin our ascending jaunt. We journey cautiously, challenging the trail in consideration of the active hikers and golf cart activity.

Away we go, to the left, to the left, to the right, to the right, and then again.

The three-hundred-meter trip is a driver’s challenge considering atmosphere and required concentration. Upon arriving at the top of our climb, we are welcomed by a cleared vista point complete with beautiful benches and flora signage to be enjoyed! The desert sunset observations are not to be missed! The vistas are pure excitement and enjoyment!

Thank you, Paul Howland, for your vision and creation!

Another world, a world of Serenity!
