How to Heatproof Your Garden

Ellen Sosin, SE Pinal County Master Gardener

Your Southeast Pinal County Master Gardeners (formally SaddleBrooke/SaddleBrooke Ranch Master Gardeners) invite you to attend an in-person presentation on Wednesday, April 10, at 1 p.m. at the Sol Ballroom at SaddleBrooke Ranch, 31143 S. Amenity Drive, Oracle, Ariz. This is a free event. We are pleased to have Deborah North, Pima County Master Gardener, present “How to Heatproof Your Garden.”

Our summers are tough on plants and on the gardener. Join us to learn some proven techniques that will help your plants survive 100+-degree temperatures and which plants thrive in the heat. We’ll also highlight ways to protect yourself and remain healthy while gardening on our hot, dry summer days.

Deborah North is an Arizona native. She returned to Arizona in 2003 and rapidly learned that to enjoy gardening in Tucson required significant retraining. She entered the Master Gardener program in 2004 through the University of Arizona and has never looked back.
