Help the children of Oracle

An exciting new math curriculum has been implemented at Mountain Vista Elementary School in Oracle, grades kindergarten through third grade. Dr. Carla Springer (SaddleBrooke resident) needs four volunteers to work in classrooms each Monday, Tuesday or Thursday from 8:15 to 11:00 a.m. (with break between classes). The school is only about six miles from SaddleBrooke Ranch.

Volunteer tutors will be helping out as the teacher gives the lesson and as the children work problems alone or in groups. Carla is now training the K-3 teachers on the new curriculum which teaches math in a new and exciting way to our young students. These students are behind in math and need lots of help. This is a great opportunity to be part of something that promises to pay huge dividends in the future. Those interested should contact Carla at [email protected]. School has already started.
