Health Fair Coordinator and Team Leader Needed

Andrea Stephens, Health Fair Volunteer Coordinator

We are busy working on the SaddleBrooke Health Fair, which will be held at the MountainView clubhouse on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to noon. We have many volunteers already committed to helping us, and we are working on lining up many exhibitors for the Fair.

We also have most of our Team Leaders returning. However, we are still in need of one more Team Leader. We also need a Volunteer Coordinator who will work with our current Volunteer Coordinator who is retiring from the Health Fair.

Team Leader: This person will be responsible for a team of about 16 volunteers and scheduling for two 90-minute shifts. There will be a Team Leader meeting on Tuesday morning, Sept. 16, and a Volunteer Orientation meeting on Tuesday morning, Sept. 23. We ask that the Team Leaders attend both meetings. Additionally, we ask that Team Leaders be at MountainView by 8 a.m. on the morning of the Health Fair, as some of the early shift volunteers will need to be in place by 8:30 a.m. Also, you will need to be on your feet most of the morning. We will provide a Team Leader T-shirt.

Volunteer Coordinator: The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting all the volunteers and Team Leaders for the Health Fair. Additionally, this person will need computer email skills, along with Excel worksheet and PowerPoint skills. The Volunteer Coordinator will conduct a Team Leader meeting in September and the Volunteer Orientation meeting with other members of the Planning Committee, also held in September. This person will also oversee ordering T-shirts for all the volunteers. Committee meetings are held monthly from February through September.

If you have interest in either of these positions, please reply to sbhfvolunteers@gmail.com. If you have additional questions, please also reply to sbhfvolunteers@gmail.com.

This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow SaddleBrooke residents and work on a good cause to promote health and wellness in the community.

Thank you for your consideration.
