Juan Ciscomani, featured speaker at the SaddleBrooke Republican Club August meeting, was appointed by Governor Ducey in the spring of 2015 as Director of Southern Arizona and became a part of Governor Ducey’s Senior Leadership Team. Juan was also selected by Governor Ducey to spearhead the Governor’s efforts in Sonora as the Director of Arizona’s Office in Sonora which is located in Juan’s native town of Hermosillo, thus playing a dual role for the Governor.
Juan described his responsibility as advancing and explaining Governor Ducey’s agenda. He emphasized the Governor’s agenda as three pronged focusing on (1) Education (2) Economic Development and (3) Child Safety. Juan stressed the fact that Governor Ducey placed primary importance on giving strong direction to our state agencies ensuring that the services they provide, funded by the electorate, are effective in meeting the needs of our Arizona citizens. Juan also emphasized that Governor Ducey firmly believes that “where government is not necessary government can step back.” The entire focus of our Governor is to use government in a proper role to benefit the citizens of Arizona.
Following Juan Ciscomani’s presentation, SaddleBrooke Republican Club Program Director George Grove opened the forum for questions from club members. Two subjects became the focus of the questioning and discussion: Central Community College and education in our Arizona schools. Juan listened carefully to the issues raised and promised to follow through on the concerns raised.
After expressing appreciation to Mr. Ciscomani, George Grove reminded club members of the September SaddleBrooke Republican Club meeting featuring Judi White, southwestern representative of the National Rifle Association and advocate of our Second Amendment Rights.
