Glass Fusing Is Back!

Beth Longman

It’s time to get back to creating beautiful fused glass pieces! The Glass Art Club of SaddleBrooke is very pleased and excited to announce that glass fusing is back and better than ever!

After having our ability to offer glass fusing classes curtailed for an extended period of time, the kiln room remodeling project is finally complete. We now have our original kiln plus a new, larger kiln that will allow for the creation of larger fused glass pieces. The club has also expanded our mold selection with new and larger molds to add to those already in our inventory. We’ve had plenty of time to come up with ideas for new fusing classes, but since it’s been a while, fusing refresher classes will also be offered to get you back into the fun of fusing. The fall class schedule will be sent to our club members once it’s finalized. If you aren’t a member yet, you can find the class schedule on our website www.glassartsb.com.

The Glass Art Club is about all types of glass art. While we are looking forward to getting back to creating fused glass pieces, classes will still be offered in traditional stained glass and mosaics so you can explore creative options in those mediums, too. Many of our members also like to “color outside the lines” and use their imaginations to create unique pieces.

We are in the Turquoise Room at the MountainView Arts and Craft Center on Mondays from 9 a.m. to noon, and on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. So, stop by for a visit. You can find more information about the club and the full class schedule at www.glassartsb.com or email us at [email protected]. Watch the website for updates to our class schedule!
