Summer has been fun for our Genealogy Club members and friends/guests. Workshops were conducted where individuals could meet directly with more experienced members and work with their own family trees. We return to regular meetings in October. A special trip is planned to the largest genealogy library in Arizona, the West Valley Genealogical Society Library in Youngstown, Ariz. (Sun City). Please join us. We will probably arrange for carpools, or you can make the drive yourself. The tour will begin at 10 a.m. It promises to be a very educational trek.
The West Valley Genealogical Society Library is located at 12222 N. 111th Avenue, Youngtown, AZ 85363; phone: 623-933-4945.
In November, meetings will return to our normal meeting day and time: the first Thursday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Coyote Room at the SaddleBrooke One club facility. The first scheduled speaker is Bridget Lefevre who will provide clues to Scandinavian research. For any questions, please contact the club at [email protected] or visit the club’s website sites.google.com/view/saddlebrookeAZgenealogyclub for more information on club activities and speakers.
