Janice S. Blackhurst

The speaker at our March 6 meeting will be Janice S. Blackhurst who will be presenting “Genealogy Gems in U.S. Probate Records: Wills, Estate Inventories and Sales, Distributions, and Guardianships.” The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. in the Coyote Room at SaddleBrooke One.

Janice S. Blackhurst has over 40 years of research experience and is accredited in the states of Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas. Completion of more than 300 client projects has involved research in almost every U.S. state. Additionally, she has completed many international projects for Canada, Mexico, the British Isles, and most of Europe. She especially enjoys researching records of Spain, Italy, and Mexico and other areas where she can utilize her language skills in Spanish and Italian.

She has solved several important cold cases with her colleagues in Firebird Forensics Group, some which have had national attention.

The Genealogy Club normally meets on the first Thursday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Coyote Room at the SaddleBrooke One club facility. Club dues are $15 and run on a calendar-year basis. Speakers are booked with topics focusing on genealogy and research methods.
