Never ones to rest on our laurels (whatever those are), we were ready to take on a new, fast-paced feline adventure: Pickleball. After learning to play tennis, we thought—why not? This fourth book in The Adventures of Carly and Charly series takes us out on the pickleball courts in style and with lots of catitude.
Of course, Charly’s always ready to take on a new adventure, while Carly, as usual, is not so sure. She wonders: Can cats play pickleball? Where did it get that funny name? What type of equipment is needed? What type of training is needed for cats before heading out onto the courts?
Well, it’s paddles and sneakers and lessons, for sure. With a little preparation and a lot of guidance from our cat instructor, we embark on a great pickleball adventure with fun and frolic. Kids 6 to 10 will enjoy our banter and on-court antics. Follow along as we learn to keep score and master serves, dinks, drops, lobs, and drives. And, of course, we were thrilled to be told to stay out of the kitchen!

We expect our two upcoming books, Let’s Try Baking and Let’s Go Horseback Riding, to be published in the summer. The remaining cat adventure series lineup, which now consists of eight books, also includes Let’s Play Soccer and Let’s Go Skateboarding. These titles will be published over the course of 2022.
And we believe in giving back to the community. Most of the proceeds from this book series will be donated to the Humane Society.
