How SaddleBrooke’s Tara Nicole Miller Caught Lightning on the Fairway
You may know her as Terri Moore, the tall, charming neighbor of unit 17, but the newest sensation on global music streaming platforms is known to the world as Tara Nicole Miller. At 59 years young, Tara has been a proud SaddleBrooke resident for two decades, having originally moved here to care for her stepfather during his decline with Parkinson’s disease. Once a fixture on local sports fields—dominating tennis, softball, and golf—a severe back injury sidelined her athleticism, leading to a long period of isolation.
However, a profound quarantine epiphany sparked a massive creative rebirth. A lifelong poet-philosopher and autodidact, Tara picked up her stylus and Chromebook to begin writing again. “If I didn’t laugh, I’d cry,” she giggles with her trademark infectious optimism. “It’s really not hard when all you see are silver linings.” Her “happy-clappy-irony” songs pair an addictive, dancing beat with deep, unconventional lyrics.

After writing a staggering 500 songs, she finally released her work globally on June 23. The catalyst was a terrifying medical emergency involving her mother. “I was so terrified when she was injured, trying to crawl across the house to reach me in the casita,” Tara shares. “She survived, thank God, but that day of terror led my subconscious to get my work set up for posterity.” Though a hormonal imbalance previously took her natural singing voice, mainstream artificial intelligence provided a triumphant solution. “It’s my prosthetic voice,” she celebrates. “With A.I., I can sing again!”
Billing her project as The Tara Miller Band, her leading single, “Better than Most,” was written while walking her shih-tzu mix, Gigi, along SaddleBrooke’s 18th fairway at sunrise. The song beautifully connects personal and local inspiration to sports history, channeling Gary Koch’s iconic 2001 call of Tiger Woods’ legendary putt.
Tara calls herself an “amanuensis of the universal mind,” writing songs in 15-minute lightning bolts of pure magic. Her latest batch of 14 singles dropped on June 30, including the soaring patriotic anthem “Tis of Thee (#America250),” which refuses to whitewash history. Tara may be proud to be an American, but the SaddleBrooke community is deeply proud to harbor such a resilient, transcendent soul.
