Library Lectures Return in October
Rolly Prager
Friends of SaddleBrooke Libraries (FSL) is pleased to announce the return of the library lecture series. Samantha Schwann will be the guest speaker on Oct. 14. The program starts at 4 p.m. in the DesertView Theater. FSL members can attend for free; non FSL members will pay $5.
Samantha Schwann is an international, award-winning, photographic artist, whose work concentrates on ecologically unique areas of the ocean, with a thoughtful approach to an increasingly important global conversation.
Samantha’s passion for scuba diving began when she was a teenager diving in waters near Vancouver, Canada. She was introduced to photography in 2010, when she began with landscape and abstract works. Over time, her photography began to focus on ocean conservation.
Schwann’s images invite viewers to share in the curiosity of the ocean and the range of events and subjects presented therein. Her photographs feature elements of the transience and impermanence of underwater life.
HOA 2 Golf Information Presentation
Al Bolty, Golf Committee member
The SaddleBrooke TWO Golf Committee will again team with Matt Hudson, director of golf; Paul Hallock, director of golf course maintenance; and Matt Kambic, chairman of the Golf Committee to present a golf update. The program will be on Zoom Sept. 21, beginning at 2 p.m.
Paul and his staff have the MountainView golf course looking and playing better than it has in years. He is now applying the same magic to bring The Preserve up to the same level. He will be discussing how they were able to do this, and what his plans are for the foreseeable future.
Matt Hudson will be discussing the upcoming activities and programs he and his staff have planned. Matt Kambic will be discussing how the Golf Committee is working in an advisory capacity to the golf club staff and the HOA board to improve golf conditions for all of us.
Your Monday Message email from Administration will contain the link to the Zoom program that will allow you to participate in the golf update program on Sept. 21. Watch for it.
