What do SaddleBrooke and Splendido have in common on a Friday night? Other than being home to retirees of a variety of ages, both offer happy hours and opportunities for socialization with friends. The same holds true for the folks from Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke.
On Friday, November 4 two patio parties were held – one in SaddleBrooke at the home of Guy and Liz Baty and the other at the patio home of Clayton and Bonnie Thomas in Splendido.
More than 50 folks representing the Ranch, all of the SaddleBrooke communities as well as Splendido enjoyed a mild evening outdoors filled with interesting conversations and great food and beverages.
With new people joining our worship services at Resurrection on a regular basis, social events like the patio parties give everyone an opportunity to learn more about each other. They also help us match names to faces when we worship together.
At the Splendido party several people found a common Wisconsin connection, including two who attended the same school for women and one whose wife graduated from that school. Both party locations were filled with people who had common ties to different parts of the country and similar interests in sports, books, hobbies, current events and travels. The Christian connection was strong with all of the attendees as deeper friendships were forged and common interests were shared.
Resurrection at SaddleBrooke is a warm and welcoming multi-denominational congregation offering inspirational services at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. each Sunday in the Vermilion Room at the HOA 1 Clubhouse.
