Fore For Kids is no longer just a charity golf tournament. Fore For Kids now includes appetizers and a silent auction along with dinner with a live auction and guest speaker. This is the 21st Fore For Kids golf tournament sponsored by The Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke benefitting Make A Wish Foundation, educational scholarships and children’s charities throughout our area. The 2019 Fore For Kids Golf Tournament will be held at the Oro Valley Country Club on Monday, April 15.
The 2019 Fore For Kids charity event will include a short game clinic and several celebrity players. Sponsors and celebrities for the event have already committed, but there are still some opportunities available. This year we have a number of new sponsors, while a number of old favorite sponsors are returning.
Proceeds from the 2018 tournament provided three books each for over a thousand students, scholarships for vocational and college students and funds for various other children’s charities. Funds from the 2018 golf tournament provided funding for such charities as Make a Wish, Little Hooves Big Hearts (mini horse therapy for children with special needs), Math Plus (school robotics program), VOSH Arizona (visual screening for children), Teen Sew Cool (sewing lessons for teens), First Tee Tucson, and Connections in Learning (after school tutoring). In the last 20 years, with the funds from our Fore For Kids Golf Tournament, The Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke has donated over $500,000 to children’s non-profits and scholarships.
