Auditions for Community Circle Players’ (CCP) Five Shorts with Shortcake, a production of five plays that range from 8 to 30 minutes, will be held on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 15 and 16, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in MountainView Ballroom West. Please plan to attend both days, and feel free to audition for one or more acts. A sampling of what you can expect: people reminiscing about past relationships, a customer “service” department, and a singer with an incomplete alphabet.
With some of the roles extremely small (only a few lines), this is a unique and ideal opportunity for novice performers and those wanting to get their feet wet rather than jumping into the deep end. Of course, we welcome seasoned performers who know firsthand the joy, fulfillment, and camaraderie that being part of the CCP family can be. Be careful, though! Once you’ve been bitten by the live theatre bug, you’ll be hooked.

Rehearsals will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from Sept. 18 through Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon, then four days of tech rehearsal Nov. 15 through 18. Rehearsal schedules may be flexible, and any conflicts will be discussed at auditions.
Big changes! 1) This is not a dinner theatre. Dessert (guess what), coffee, and tea will be served at intermission. A no-host bar will be available. 2) We’ve added two matinee performances.
Evening performances are at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, Nov. 19-22.
Matinee performances are at 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21 and 22.
