Grab your fork and head on over to the DesertView Theater to learn how to find your happy place on Friday, Nov. 3, at 1 p.m. (please note the change in venue!). Nancy Teeter, MAOM, RDN, will present a program on “Emotional Well-Being at the End of Your Fork.” This program is open to all SaddleBrooke residents and is free of charge.

Food has the potential to promote physical, mental, and emotional health, but also intensify cravings, memory loss, and stress. While physical consequences of poor eating patterns can take decades to appear, mental effects can occur in under two hours. Nancy, a registered dietitian, will provide tips for curbing cravings, improving mood, and increasing energy and brainpower.

Nancy has logged more than 45 years as a food and nutrition expert and has worked part-time at Miraval Resort and Spa for over 10 years. There she offers classes and nutrition consultations, emphasizing wholesome foods, integrative wellness, and healthy aging. Nancy believes that no matter a person’s age, nutrition can make a profound difference in future health.

Nancy has lectured widely on various nutrition topics, including gut health, anti-inflammatory lifestyle, metabolism, blood pressure management, and healthy weight. Nancy resides in SaddleBrooke with her husband Rick. She loves to cook and help others understand that eating healthy meals needn’t be complicated.

So, head on over to the DesertView Theater on Friday, Nov. 3, at 1 p.m. to find out more about food and emotional well-being. See you then!

In addition to our monthly programs on the first Friday of the month, we also offer special small group classes.
