The instructors at the SaddleBrooke Computer Club have been busy converting many of their in-person classes to virtual training. Currently we are unable to hold classes in our computer training facility due to COVID social distancing requirements. So, in order to continue to offer instruction even through this pandemic, we have set up a Zoom room to provide a virtual training venue.
Classes Through December
Here are the classes yet to be held in 2020: Social Media: What is it?; Best Android Apps—Fall 2020; Ask Randi a Question—Apple Services: Syncing Apple Devices, Overview of TeleHealth and TeleMedicine, and How to Get More Out of the Apple Watch.
Active members of the SaddleBrooke Computer Club can go to our website at www.SaddleBrookecc.org to register. Anyone who joins after Oct. 1 will receive membership for 2021 at no additional cost.
We continue to add courses to our eLearning Center. This area of our website allows members to review many past classes and user group meeting presentations at their convenience, 24/7. This area now also features three videos on Zoom: Using Zoom as a Participant, Hosting a Zoom Meeting, and Zoom Tips, Tricks and Hacks.
November User Group to Feature Comcast/Xfinity Representative
The November User Group meeting will feature a presentation from representatives of Comcast/Xfinity. We have submitted a wide range of questions we hope they will be covering including the actual services they will be providing, the plans for roll-out in SaddleBrooke, and some technical questions regarding bandwidths, equipment, and compatibility with other network services. This meeting is currently scheduled to be held virtually via Zoom on Monday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. Emails will be sent out with the Zoom link. This presentation will be recorded and will be made available for replay on the club website.
