Employee Holiday Party

Don’t let anyone tell you the number 13 is an unlucky number. The residents of SaddleBrooke One proved 2013 to be the best in thirteen years when donating toward the thirteenth annual Employees’ Holiday Party.

The party was held on Sunday, December 15 in the SaddleBrooke One Clubhouse. More dollars were donated this year than any previous year since the first party held in the year 2001. The dollars this year topped $21,000, plus.

Besides the usual envelopes containing cash that each employee received, sixteen additional envelopes were given out as part of the annual raffle. Two envelopes contained one hundred dollar bills, three envelopes contained $75.00, five contained $50.00 and six of the envelopes given out contained $25.00.

Bubb’s Grub catered the dinner served as a buffet. Don Bennett once again arrived early and provided Christmas background music on the piano. Santa visited during the evening while the SaddleBrooke Singers gathered to sing Christmas Carols. Dozens of SaddleBrooke One residents served as volunteers during the evening, greeting guests as they arrived, clearing tables and acting as bartenders and photographers.

It goes without saying, “This was the best Employees’ Holiday Party ever.”
