Dust Off Your Instrument and Warm Up Your Voice! Come Join the SaddleBrooke Jammers

David Fuller

Most Tuesday afternoons, between 1 and 4 p.m., musicians and singers gather in the SaddleBrooke TWO West Ballroom to create music together. We call ourselves Jammers.

The jam sessions are open to all SaddleBrooke One and SaddleBrooke TWO residents. No dues are required. The group is comprised of singers and musicians of all levels. On any Tuesday afternoon, Jammers come together to play songs out of our close to 400 song list, which is easily accessible online. Musicians take turns selecting a song that they would like to try. Then the group plays along, working on rhythm, cords, and harmonies. Some songs are played a few times in order to work on the arrangement. We cover country, blues, rock, R&B/soul, and gospel. Most of the tunes are from the ‘60s and ‘70s, but any song suggested is fair game.

Jammers was founded by Bert VanWagoner close to 10 years ago after his wife bought him a guitar. Bert decided that the best way for him to learn was in a jam group. Stop by and say hi to Bert and the Jammers.
