It is part of the SaddleBrooke Dog Park Mission Statement to “sponsor or otherwise support pet rescue efforts.” To help fulfill this goal, the Dog Park hosted a People Party on February 23 to raise money for the SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network. A good crowd came to support this effort as well as enjoy food, drinks and friendship. Guests heard from the new Dog Park President Marlin Waller, games were played and prizes were given to those who had adopted the most dogs over their lifetime. Leslie Rocco and Kathy Majer did a wonderful job in recruiting volunteers and organizing a very fun and successful party. $1125 was raised! The SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network is working with Pima Paws For Life, who will be using part of the donation for an urgent need for puppy food and part for Hope Animal Shelter’s new sanctuary/home in Marana.
