We are a group of SaddleBrooke residents who get together on Thursday mornings to enjoy singing together. The Chorale is a unison chorus. You don’t have to audition, read music, or learn harmonies (but if you know one, sing it!). Our songbook consists of lyrics from folk songs, musical theater, 20th century standards, and more. Think “Blue Moon,” “This Land Is Your Land,” “Oklahoma,” “Amazing Grace,” “Camelot,” “Under the Boardwalk,” “Today,” “Do Re Mi,” “Getting To Know You,” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” accompanied by a classical guitar!
We perform for retirement/assisted living facilities, community fundraisers, Senior Village concerts, and other events. There are no dues, just a modest fee for printing your first songbook (additions are emailed to you for printing out your own copies).
We currently have 10 to 15 members meeting and rehearsing regularly, and we welcome anyone else who would like to join us. We meet at the home of Randall and Linda Dighton on Desert Bluff Drive on Thursday mornings from 10 to 11:30 a.m. (followed by snacks and fellowship).
If you think you’d like to join us or if you have questions, please call the Dightons at 520-344-9571 or 541-905-1269.
