What a fabulous evening! Over 270 gathered for the annual SaddleBrooke Democratic Club dinner at MountainView Country Club on January 27 to relax and celebrate. Attendees came from Legislative Districts 8 and 11 to hear the Arizona Democratic Party Chairwoman, Felecia Rotellini and recently re-elect Commissioner, Sandra Kennedy.
Rotellini talked to the crowd, MountainView’s largest single dinner for several consecutive years, about Arizona Democrats’ strong field operations and expanding digital outreach programs.
Also speaking was Arizona Corporation Commissioner (ACC) Sandra Kennedy, who served in 2008 and was re-elected in 2018. Commissioner Kennedy reiterated her commitment to renewable energy production and informed the gathering that electrical providers are not permitted to deny or “slow roll” connection to the power grid of privately installed solar systems.
The SB Dem Club’s new co-chairs, Gwen Rustin and Mike Carran, emphasized the Democratic values of “caring and sharing” and closed the evening with special thanks to the MountainView catering staff, followed by the announcement of the club’s next monthly meeting, Tuesday, April 8, 3:30 p.m. at the SaddleBrooke One Activity Center. Look for next year’s dinner, always a big kick-off gala in a Presidential election year, the Sunday before the Big Game.
