Animated, informative, passionate, energetic and captivating are words which one could use to describe the presentation Andrew Morrill made to SaddleBrooke Democratic Club Members on Tuesday, September 8. As President of the Arizona Education Association, Andrew is far more than just an advocate for the members of the AEA. As a teacher with over 20 years of experience, he is well versed in the many issues faced by teachers today and an advocate for Public Education as a whole including the students, parents and teachers. He reminded us that even though Arizona offers a wide variety of choice in education, 87% of K-12 students still choose to go to their neighborhood district school.
Following his prepared remarks, he fielded questions from the audience for an extended period of time. The exchange was very informative and our club would welcome his participation again in the future.
