What could be better than starting out your Valentine’s Day with a bicycle ride? Maybe winning the top prize for choosing the lucky valentine? Out of the 36 riders we had for that special ride that day, Ed Haugland did! He won the nice gift card from Panera Bread for choosing the lucky valentine. We also had six other winners who also received gift cards.
We leave every Saturday morning from the SaddleBrooke One parking lot for a one hour ride around SaddleBrooke. The riders break up into smaller groups, depending on their speed and number of miles they would like to ride. Then a leader will lead them on the ride. The destination for this special ride was to the DesertView Theater parking lot where we had a table set up with all the valentines. All the riders chose what they hope would be the winner. We then all cycled back to the Roadrunner Grill to reveal the winning valentines. Many of the bikers then chose to stay and have coffee or breakfast.
