Do you wonder why your tennis and POP tennis friends are having so much fun? Join us at the SaddleBrooke Tennis Club (STC) on Oct. 17 and 24, Nov. 14 and 21, and Dec. 12 and 19 for our Friday Court Crawl where you can play tennis, POP tennis, and Red Ball Tennis from 3 to 5 p.m. If you haven’t played a racket sport in a while (or 30 years ago), we’ll supply the paddles, rackets, and balls, and all you have to do is enjoy the camaraderie on the court while learning these sports from Tennis Club members and club experts.
You’ll have the opportunity to try all three sports in 30-minute segments, and after you play, join us for snacks (bring your own drink) on the patio while you socialize with all the participants. And if you’re not sure if you are ready to start playing a new sport, come by and watch your friends and neighbors play while enjoying our beautiful tennis patio with some new friends.
Anyone at any age can learn POP tennis, traditional tennis, and Red Ball Tennis and enjoy incredible benefits like stronger bones, stress reduction, better agility, better balance, coordination, weight loss, and cardiovascular fitness.
All of the above can happen while having fun meeting new friends and, as everyone knows, you can’t play POP tennis, traditional tennis, or Red Ball Tennis by yourself. Lobbing a ball back and forth requires a partner. The benefits of playing with another person are twofold: Your mental health will get a boost from social interaction with your fellow players, and studies show that face-to-face social contact reduces the risk of depression, particularly among older adults.
Please join our STC members for an afternoon of fun learning a new sport while meeting new friends, and don’t forget to wear your tennis shoes.
