SaddleBrooke Rotary is proud to present every third grade student of Coronado School a dictionary. They are able to use the dictionary at school and take it home at the end of the school year for their family. In 2015 we have already donated the dictionaries to four classrooms with 81 students. In 2014 our club donated 80 dictionaries to Coronado School third grade students.
In addition, SaddleBrooke Rotary members go back at the end of each year and ask the students what they have learned from the books. The students are happy to have us check on them. Each dictionary contains everything from sign language, U.S. Constitution, longest word metrics and state information.
We recognize that the youth of our society is our future. Anything we can contribute to their education is beneficial to both them and us. Thank you, Linda Turbyfill, for heading this project for the past two years.
