For many years, going way back to the Care and Share program, there has been a free short term medical equipment loan program in SaddleBrooke. Recently it was about to come to an end because of the lack of storage space and volunteers. Fortunately, the SaddleBrooke Community Church has stepped into the breach to rescue the program and continue this valuable community service. Providing medical equipment in a small community is vital to keep the elderly or those with a serious health condition healthy and well; for example, those with a heart condition or who are at high risk of cardiac arrest may feel assured to know that equipment like defibrillators are on hand if their health should take a turn. You can click here to find equipment like this for use in your workplace or building.
SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch residents may participate in this free program. There is a limited amount of equipment available such as walkers, crutches, canes and wheelchairs for resident and resident-guest use.
The following four conditions apply: 1. You must be a full or part-time resident of SaddleBrooke or SaddleBrooke Ranch; 2. The loan period is for no more than 90 days; 3. You must provide for pick-up and return of the item(s) borrowed; 4. You must return the item(s) in a clean, reusable condition and 5. You must agree to the terms and conditions indicated in the loan agreement and in the release form.
If you agree to these conditions and wish to make use of this great program, please contact the SaddleBrooke Community Church at 825-5394 for further specifics and to arrange for the pick-up of the item(s) at the church’s Parish House. Church office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. You can also leave a voice message or email the church at [email protected].
The Community Church at SaddleBrooke is an all denominational church that meets at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday at the DesertView Theater in SaddleBrooke. Everyone is welcome.
