Since 2007 Community Church of SaddleBrooke (CCSB) has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to welcome the newest cohort of homeowners in southern Arizona. Community Church has provided tool kits to every Habitat homebuyer for the last 10 years. These kits are perfect for fixing minor repairs that the new homeowners are likely to encounter. In addition, during that same period of time, we have given almost $75,000.
Habitat invited the Community Church leaders to attend a Faith Leaders Breakfast. At this event, we were able to learn about the work that Habitat Tucson is doing right here in our community and how their ministry works. It was attended by Pastor Steve Wilson, Keith Gordon, liaison to Habitat, and Dick Kroese, chairman of the Mission Committee. Keith explained to everyone there what Community Church has done to make a difference for the new homeowners. We walked away so impressed with Habitat and what they are doing to help those that need it the most.
CCSB is an all-denominational Christian Church welcoming all in SaddleBrooke and other communities. We worship at 8:30 a.m. every Sunday morning in the DesertView Theater.
