The Salvation Army Tucson recognized Community Church at SaddleBrooke during National Salvation Army Week, May 11 to 17, as a valued member of the William Booth Society Tucson for its ongoing support of the organization’s mission to serve individuals and families in need throughout Southern Arizona.

SaddleBrooke resident Ron Morris attended the special celebration on behalf of Community Church at SaddleBrooke and accepted the recognition during the event held at The Salvation Army Tucson Hospitality House. The gathering also included the presentation of an official City of Tucson proclamation recognizing National Salvation Army Week.

“The mission of our church is to share the Gospel and serve those in need, and The Salvation Army faithfully lives out that calling every day in our community,” Morris said.

The Salvation Army Tucson provides a wide range of services to the community, including emergency shelter, meals, heat relief, transitional housing, and assistance for individuals and families experiencing hardship. Community partnerships and faithful supporters such as Community Church at SaddleBrooke help ensure those critical services continue year-round.

National Salvation Army Week was established in 1954 to recognize the organization’s impact and the many supporters who help continue its mission of hope, help, and healing.
