Come Sing with Voices in the Oaks in our 10th Anniversary Season

Singers pose at the ballroom entrance to welcome all to our Rhythm of Life concert.

Do you enjoy singing but aren’t sure where or how to find a group? Sing in the car or shower and are ready for prime time? Did you sing years ago and are a little rusty? We would love to connect with you, because we are looking for singers to join us. Voices in the Oaks celebrates our 10th anniversary this year, and we are planning a fabulous arrangement of music favorites from past concerts, such as “Feelin’ Groovy,” “Salute to Veterans,” “Schubert to Simon,” etc.

Our weekly 6 p.m. Thursday night rehearsals start Jan. 15 at Vista de la Montana United Methodist Church in Catalina. We will rehearse there weekly for 12 weeks, with a week off for spring break, leading up to our concert on April 11 at 5 p.m. in the SaddleBrooke Ranch ballroom, a second performance at Vista United Methodist Church on April 12 at 3 p.m., and a third performance at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church on May 3 at 3 p.m. You do not have to read music or audition to join us. We have a small fee to participate in Voices, which covers our music costs, but you can come try us for free for the first two rehearsals.

On Dec. 1 Voices in the Oaks served lunch to more than 50 people at the Oracle Community Center Monday Lunch event as part of our community outreach efforts, with the proceeds going to Oracle Community Center. We would like to thank all of our concert donors, audience, and fans for your enthusiastic participation and support, and we wish you all a very happy 2026. We can’t wait to see you at a rehearsal or at our concerts. We also thank donors to our Student Conductor Fund. Each season since 2019, Voices in the Oaks has hired a talented doctoral student from the University of Arizona to lead the chorale as our paid choral conductor and artistic director. This arrangement has allowed our chorale to work with gifted young conductors who bring fresh energy and ideas to us while providing valuable work experience for the students.
