Mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov. 2! Cheri Megli and Marco Navarro are coming from Phoenix with the Tennis Cabana for the 12th straight year. It’s always a fun day to socialize on our patio, look for some new court attire, and try out some new racquets/paddles.
This year we will have Lon Federwitz join us. He is a SaddleBrooke Tennis Club member who is also a representative for POP paddles. Lon will bring 13 different paddles of various prices for you to demo on courts 5 and 6. Come anytime between noon and 2 p.m. Bring your own paddle and compare the feel with others!
The Tennis Cabana will be bringing many different tennis racquets. The demo will be on courts 7 and 8 from noon to 2 p.m. It’s a great time to ask about strings, tension, and grips. What an opportunity to hit with the tennis pros and other members of our club!
Shopping for clothes, shoes, and racquets can be draining! Soft drinks and light snacks will be available from noon to 2 p.m.
The Tennis Cabana will take personal checks or cash. They will take a charge card, but there will be an extra charge. If you are looking for a particular item, please contact Debbie McGeehan at least one week in advance of this event. Her contact information is [email protected] or 808-833-1534.
Volunteers seem to enjoy working this event. If you would like to participate, let me know. I need six volunteers to be available at 9:45 a.m. to unload all of the items and another six volunteers at 3 p.m. to break down/load up what items are left.
