Karen Brungardt
Seven watercolor artists, all SaddleBrooke residents, have come together to present their various styles in watercolor media in a special one-day event. All seven are award winning artists, with awards ranging from Best of Show to Juror’s Award of Merit among others. They are all Juried and/or Signature members of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild and also active members of the SaddleBrooke Fine Art Guild.
This special one-day event showcases the incredible ways that watercolor can be used in paintings. Long considered to be the most difficult medium to work in, it’s also the one that can be used in the most variety of ways, from photorealistic to abstract and it can be combined with other mediums as well for even more diversity. There doesn’t seem to be any limit to how watercolor paints can be used so come to the show to see many of the ways it can be presented!
This special showcase of local artists occurs only on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the MountainView Country Club West Ballroom. You’ll be able to meet each of the seven artists, view their works, which are available for purchase and appreciate the diversity and stunning beauty of watercolor paintings. Each artist has their own unique style so come enjoy the variety and talents of your SaddleBrooke neighbors!
The participating artists are (in alphabetical order): Karen Brungardt, Mary Bubla, Fran Dorr, Renee Pearson, Robbie Summers, Sue Wilson and Wayne Ufford.
