The St. Andrew’s Bach Society invites the community to celebrate Southern Arizona’s greatest arts patron, Dorothy Dyer Vanek, on the occasion of her 90th birthday. This is a special event presented in partnership with the Grammy-nominated True Concord Voices and Orchestra under the direction of Eric Holtan. The date is Sunday, June 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (7650 N. Paseo Del Norte).
Dorothy’s impact on the Tucson community has been immeasurable and this is our way of honoring her and giving the community an opportunity to say thank you for her generous support, enthusiasm, interest and involvement in so many of Tucson’s arts organizations. This concert will feature a full orchestra, chorus and soloists. The highlight is the great Choral Fantasy of Beethoven, which brings together orchestra and chorus, with vocal and piano soloists in one great piece. The complete program is listed below.
