CCSB welcomes 10 year old New York Lyric Opera singer June 14

The Community Church at SaddleBrooke is pleased to feature award winning 10 year old singer Aliyah Douglas to sing at its service Sunday, June 14, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. at the DesertView Theatre in SaddleBrooke.

Fresh from achieving first place national winner of the New York Lyric Opera Vocal Competition in the age 10 to 14 division, Aliyah Douglas will sing a selection of songs as part of the worship service at the Community Church. She recently performed on Broadway and brings a wealth of talent and inspiration to her music.

Although young in years, Aliyah Douglas has an impressive resumé filled with numerous first place awards one would expect from accomplished adult vocalists who’ve trained for years.

Recognized recently at the 2015 Arizona NATS Classical Student Auditions at NAU with the Taylor Award as “most promising singer,” Aliyah was selected by teachers from the first place winners from the pre-high school to beginning adult division.

Adding to her impressive list of awards, Aliyah was named the 2014 National AAMTC Multi-Gold Winner in the Musical Theatre, Song and Dance and Vocal Division.

Senior Pastor of the Community Church at SaddleBrooke Ron Gannett says, “Everyone who has heard her sing walks away amazed at her talent and passion. I think the SaddleBrooke Community will be blessed by hearing her.”

The Community Church at SaddleBrooke welcomes all denominations to its services, held every Sunday morning in the DesertView Theatre at 8:30 a.m. Further details are available by calling the Community Church’s office at 520-825-5394.
