CCSB 2018 mission partners

Carol Thompson

Our Community Church at SaddleBrooke (CCSB) Cookie Room welcomed twelve of our Mission Partners after our March 18 service. Those with information booths included: Family First, Gospel Rescue Mission, Salvation Army, Youth On Their Own, Young Life Capernaum, Tri-Community Food Bank, Gilgal, Village Missions, Habitat of Humanity, Seed and Light International, Fisher House and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Chris Collins, from Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), was introduced by Pastor Steve Wilson. Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes at colleges, high schools, junior highs and professional levels to impact the world for Jesus Christ and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. Chris works with staff in campus ministry to help build character and spiritual development in school athletics.

CCSB helped send 118 kids to summer camp with scholarships. Chris presented Pastor Ron Gannett with the coveted Tom Landry Influence Award only given to organizations that contribute $10,000 or more to FCA.

CCSB is a Christ-centered Church with the mission to glorify God by becoming a community of grace where people will receive, live and share the love of Jesus Christ. Join us at the DesertView Performing Arts Center in SaddleBrooke each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. All are welcome.
