Residents of Oro Valley, Catalina, SaddleBrooke and beyond are excited to see the increasing birth pangs of prosperity and beautification come to their communities. The latest buzz in Catalina is a brand new small business venture—Pottery Fiesta LLC—undertaken by SaddleBrooke residents, Brad and Julia Huff. Pottery Fiesta LLC features decorative pottery, garden art and furniture, wall art and decorative accents.

This is a brand new adventure for the Huffs. Both have had entrepreneurial escapades in the past but on a much smaller scale. Brad was previously self-employed for many years in the logistics industry but more recently he took a leap (and a dive) into real estate investment. Julia had an office services business in a past life in Charleston, South Carolina, but when she moved to Tucson in 2007 she launched a career as Supply Chain Administrator at Sargent Aerospace and Defense in Marana.

“We had been praying for several years about what kind of business we could start in Catalina,” Julia reflects. “Brad was really tired of the long commutes. We kept brainstorming. What kind of business does Catalina need? What would be successful here? We never could come up with anything that would bring success and enjoyment!”

Then there was the fateful day Brad drove to the other side of Tucson to buy a hose pot. “I realized we were driving an hour or so to buy a single item just because of the great selection and prices and it hit me! This is exactly the business Catalina needs and we would love it!”

“It was an answer to prayer,” Julia interjects, “Everything just fell into place. And it fits us so well—we both love pottery, gardening, art and home décor.”

And how did they come up with the name Pottery Fiesta LLC?

“Fiesta means party,” Brad explains. “We wanted the business name to convey the fun, color, variety and excitement we feel about pottery—and it’s a celebration—a pottery party.”

When asked if they would literally be having pot parties, Julia laughed and replied, “Of course! But only the legal kind.”

Pottery Fiesta LLC is located at 16600 N. Oracle Road. They officially opened for business on September 22 with hours of operation of Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The grand opening celebration will be throughout the month of October, featuring 20% off everything in the store.
