The Catalina Timewalkers Chapter of Questers International donated $600 to the Jewish History Museum and Holocaust History Center. The Preservation and Restoration donation was made for a case to properly preserve and display the first 48 star flag to fly when Arizona became a state in 1912. The donation will also help purchase archival boxes and other storage materials for items in their collection.

The Jewish History Museum is located at 564 South Stone Avenue in Tucson and was the first synagogue of the Arizona territory. Built in 1910, the museum is a landmark building to preserve, exhibit and teach the Jewish heritage of southern Arizona.

Recently a new addition was opened as the Holocaust History Center dedicated to over 260 individuals from 18 nations who were persecuted by Nazism, survived and later arrived in southern Arizona. Additionally, the Holocaust History Center is committed to contemporary human rights abuses as they occur.

The Catalina Timewalkers meet once per month October through May with the purpose of stimulating the appreciation of antiques and collectibles through study and to encourage the restoration and preservation of historic landmarks. If interested, please call President Rose Meyer at 520-490-0833.
