Catalina Mountain Elks Stuff Bags for Local Seniors

Marie Starjnski

On Feb. 2, 25 hardworking Elks picked up supplies and created 218 food bags. They contained pancake mix, syrup, bacon, Spam, soup, and crackers. They were created for low-income seniors in our area. This project was made possible through two grants from the Grand Lodge: a Beacon grant and a Spotlight grant, totaling $6,000. The bags were distributed during the month of February through our local food bank, IMPACT of Southern Arizona.
