Rosie Gonzales from the American Legion Auxiliary joined the Knit Wits for the annual Baby Shower on Feb. 22. Club members created and donated dozens of handcrafted hats, sweaters, blankets, and other items suitable for babies from birth to six months, as well as some gifts for the moms. These will be distributed to members of the armed services who have very little ones.
At the Activities Fair on Feb. 4, several people expressed interest in learning how to knit or crochet, and beginning classes will begin in March.
Linda Hood, the club’s planner of all things fun and educational, presented a list of potential classes for the upcoming year. The members present expressed enthusiastic approval of all of the proposals.
The Knit Wits meet every Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. in Room 4 of the SaddleBrooke One Craft Center. Anyone with an interest in knitting or crocheting is welcome to join. You, too, could be a Knit Wit.
