British Club’s holiday party

Twink Gates-Zimdar, Publicity

On Saturday, December 15, 31 members of the British Club enjoyed their annual Christmas Party at the home of Sheelagh Simpson. After cocktails at 6:00 p.m. a potluck buffet, contributed by all members, was served where they enjoyed a delicious spiral ham and turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Following dinner, the evening continued with delicious desserts being served, consisting of homemade Sherry trifle, Christmas pudding and custard, an assortment of chocolates, mince pies and freshly brewed coffee. A good time was had by all.

Everyone thanked Sheelagh for hosting this wonderful holiday evening and Ethel Willmott, Cindy O’Connell and Twink Gates for their efforts to make this a very successful holiday event.

Generous donations were also made by members to IMPACT of Southern Arizona. David Taylor, President of the British Club and Treasurer of IMPACT, would ensure that IMPACT receive these donations for an extremely worthwhile cause.
