British Club members enjoy coffee morning and book exchange

On Saturday, June 30, it was another beautiful sunny day with blue skies here in SaddleBrooke when a ladies coffee morning and book exchange was held at the home of Sheelagh Simpson. Ten members and a guest of the British Club, as usual, enjoyed the camaraderie of friends, exchanging tales of current events in their lives.

As well as coffee and tea, of course, Sheelagh served a delicious selection of goodies which included coconut macaroons, oatmeal cookies, mini muffins, shortbread and a refreshing fresh fruit salad with fresh cream.

Everyone thanked Sheelagh for inviting them into her home for this very enjoyable coffee morning.

Every second and fourth Friday of the month the British Club has a social event in the bar area at SaddleBrooke Clubhouse which includes the following activities: Canasta, Mexican Train and maybe Bridge from 1:00 p.m. until around 4:00 p.m. This is followed by a social hour and a bar meal.
