British Club hosts coffee morning and book exchange

On Saturday, April 20 it was a beautiful sunny, but chilly day in SaddleBrooke when a ladies’ coffee morning and book exchange was held at the home of Elke Mulligan. Ten members of the British Club welcomed Stella’s friend Marissa to their special morning. As usual everyone enjoyed the camaraderie of friends, exchanging tales of current events in their lives.

As well as coffee, and tea of course, Elke served a delicious selection of goodies which included salami, goat cheese with olive/fig crackers, shrimp and cocktail sauce, an assortment of wonderful Belgium chocolate cookies, meringues, digestive biscuits, strawberries and grapes.

Everyone thanked Elke for inviting them into her home for this very enjoyable coffee morning.

Every second and fourth Friday of the month the British Club has a social event in the bar area at SaddleBrooke Clubhouse which includes the following activities: Canasta, Mexican Train and maybe Bridge from 1:00 p.m. until around 4:00 p.m. This is followed by a social hour and a bar meal.
