John Wayne, the Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, Tom Mix, et al., deck the halls with their pictures, along with other western memorabilia, at the Cadillac Chaparral Steakhouse just outside Tucson on the Florence Highway, just a 20-minute drive from SaddleBrooke.
It was here on April 11 that 19 members of the British Club met for a delightful western evening. As they looked around, they were reminded of their younger days living in Britain watching those grand, old, nostalgic cowboy movies at the matinees or on TV.
While the jukebox played their favorite music, they feasted on delicious choices of steaks, baby back ribs, chicken, shrimp, catfish, cowboy beans, baked potatoes with all the fixings, and fresh salad, etc.
Enjoying the camaraderie of fellow members, they all agreed it was a very enjoyable way to spend an evening.
Everyone thanked Ethel Willmot for organizing this fun event.
